Abstract

The aim of this article is to propose an analytical framework for the role and status of images in the kinematic experiments on movement in experimental psychology. The primary objective of this essay is firstly to summarise the debate within science regarding the study of scientific images; secondly, to underline the critical role of semiotics in this debate; and finally, to provide a general model of analysis, along with the first results, on the modes of construction of images in the studies of experimental psychology.
